12th and 13th PROJECT 2019/20 and 2020/21
In a distant land named Bonjadan, nestled among mountain ranges, erupting volcanos, clear rivers, bubbling streams and fragrant forests, lived Brosino, a very curious and adventurous slipper.
His curiosity brought him to our world, and while traveling around Europe, he saw many opportunities for socializing and celebrating: different play areas, outdoor amusement parks and playgrounds where everyone had lots of fun. Although his land was beautiful, it lacked the opportunities for celebration that he saw on his travels. Determined to change that, he thought there must be someone who could help him with this issue.
Brosino had a special power to teleport himself wherever he wanted by pulling his pom-pom. He pulled the pom-pom and teleported to places unknown to him, eager for adventure. Destiny led him to loud music, which attracted him to the children at Trnovo Kindergarten. The children faithfully and prudently followed him on his adventurous journey, helping him discover the world of colours, create magical vehicles and search for the things that make us happy, entertained and joyful.
Realizing that colours had significant meaning for the slippers in Bonjadan (all the colours had disappeared from Bonjadan), we engaged in interesting and versatile inquiry-based activities, guided by the action-research method aimed to find a space where slippers could spend time together, play together, have fun and be happy.
Research areas: architecture in relation to music and other curricular areas.
This year’s literary-didactical story, focusing on a main research subject of “Borsino’s Dream Kindergarten” guided us through various phases of exploring colours, transportation and sound/music. The activities were thoughtfully planned, implemented and evaluated, leading us to a mutual goal: to help slippers build their “Slipper’s place”, with everyone – staff, children and their parents participating and contributing according to their abilities, forming a unity in the annual learning process.
You are kindly invited to witness this adventurous journey for yourself.
